Welcome to Salutê

Salute starts with what Italians are most proud of - fantastic, rustic dishes, using recipes that have been tried, tested and loved! As well as serving exceptional food, we aim to create a "neighborhood" venue, inspired by the "Italian table" where people relax, share, and enjoy each other's company

A short drive from Leeds City Centre and conveniently placed just off the M62 in Rothwell, Salute is now a prominent fixture on the local dining scene.

Salute @ The White Swan is a Neighborhood Italian Bar & Restaurant, just a few minutes drive down the M62. With Leeds City center just 10 minutes away.
Reopened in June 2004 under the expert & professional guidance of Justine Gregory, Operational Director, Salute is friendly, welcoming, relaxed and informal. In fact the company mission statement says it all…

…a successful Neighborhood Italian style Restaurant & bar, with a vision to exceed customer expectations of food style, quality & service…

We have live jazz every other Saturday, a full events calendar for the year, regular promotions, offers, and customers are encouraged to join our mailing list to receive the Salute newsletter. We also cater for private parties from christenings and children’s parties, through to retirements, birthdays and weddings – whatever the occasion we will be happy to help and will have a menu to suit.

Infact whatever your reason for visiting Salute, we assure you of a warm welcome. However, don’t just take our word for it…

... Clearly people nowadays are prepared to travel to partake of good food and wine, because this vibrant and friendly establishment, with its combination of old favourites and new dishes, has diners from all over Yorkshire, coming back for more… (Leeds Food & Drink Guide, 2005)

... if you’re after a relaxed evening with a huge group of friends or a night out that involves the kids, Salute is well worth the drive out of town and well deserving of good health… (Metrolife, 2004)

... We had truly fallen on our feet! – the restaurant was buzzing with family chit-chat and bustling with the busy waiters, while a rich pot pourri of Mediterranean smells wafted through invitingly from the kitchen...
